New Website Design for Occucare International

Occucare InternationalEstablished in 1980, Occucare International is the largest provider of occupational health services in the world with over 100,000 workers under their care in the US and worldwide. To reflect their international growth, Occucare called upon The Marion Group to help them with brand positioning, updating their image, logo, web content, and a new structure for their website; a totally integrated package.

With all of the medical requirements for Americans working abroad, it was important to create a website that makes it easy for clients to find the information they need quickly and easily. That considered, Marion created a structure for their website that focuses on three main channels: US Medical Services, International Medical Services, Travel Medicine and OGUK Offshore Oil & Gas.

Occucare also wanted to bring attention to their unique capabilities, such as mobile response anywhere in the US within 24 to 48 hours, and their ability to respond to needs Internationally. With growing demand for Occucare’s services overseas, they have partnered with Gulf Healthcare International to open Occupational Health International. Located in Dubai, OHI is the first dedicated occupational health facility in the UAE. Marion standardized the two brands for seamless online integration.

Occucare International is a family owned and operated occupational health service provider founded by Dr. Jerry McShane. Their headquarters are located in Houston, Texas with additional offices in Beaumont and Deer Park, Texas.

FET’s New Website Design ties Multiple Brands into One

FET Website

FET Website

Forum Energy Technologies (FET) is rapidly expanding its oilfield related products and technical services. This activity has led to a few growing pains, so FET called on Marion-the experts in Interactive Marketing-to pull all of those new acquisitions into one seamless and consistent online presence.

The process didn’t come without challenges. First, Marion had to create a logical structure for the site. Starting with the development of a new sitemap, Marion began hammering out a strategy by which customers could quickly access relevant information while maintaining a consistent brand message throughout the site. Right from their home page, you’ll find an intuitive slide show and easy-to-navigate graphic presentation of FET’s products and technologies, and the ability to quickly search their extensive content. Marion has created over 500 pages for FET, and as new brands are acquired, they will be brought into the fold.

Just as Marion prides itself on being a full-service agency, FET is set to become the full service onshore and offshore oilfield services company. From their subsea technologies like the ROV, to drilling, to production, FET’s lengthy list of capabilities continues to grow.

Blogging Part II: ‘Why Am I Doing This?’

Previously, I divulged my formula for creating a marketable blog. To motivate you to actually do it, here is the rundown on what makes blogging so useful.

Reason 1: Your blog is the “Big Daddy” of all social media.

Not Facebook, not Twitter, but indeed it’s your company blog that is the cornerstone of social media marketing (SMM). When used effectively, it functions as the hub of SMM – a space where you drive all social traffic. Twitter and Facebook have suffered glitches in which users could not access or communicate with their fans/followers as normal. However, your blog is an online space that you have control over. Furthermore, a blog allows you to have more personal, in depth conversations. Even though you can post “notes” on Facebook, people typically expect all other social media platforms to be brief and immediate.

Reason 2: Blog means Better Listings on Google…and other search engines.

As mentioned in my previous blog, when your blog is on your website, the more articles you publish, the deeper your website becomes. This means, you’re expanding your website, adding a new page with each blog you release, which aids in search engine optimization. Add this to quality content with keywords relevant to your business, and you’ve increased the possibility of improving your ranking. In other words, people are more likely to find your website.

 Reason 3: It’s easy enough…

Posting a blog allows you to communicate your branded message, interact with customers and/or other businesses and give your business a voice without the formality other marketing tactics require (e.g. a press release, brochures, web design, etc.) It’s a relatively inexpensive, ongoing tool that can be used at your discretion.

Blogging is absolutely beneficial and one of the easier methods to promote your brand. The hardest part sometimes is simply finding the time.

Up next…How to add more hours to the day… (Spoiler: Sleep less.)
