Jamie : So the web and the internet are two different things? I did not expect that. I thought they were the same. Does that mean in the future we might have other ways of accessing the internet besides the web?

Technology moves at an incredible rate and just when you thought there was nothing left to "invent" something like the smartphones with apps comes out. Who knows what will be next. The only thing I know for certain is that I am on board for it all!

However, when you send an email, you are using the Internet, not the Web.” What about when you send an email from a web-based email client (such as Google or Yahoo)? Are you using the Internet or the Web? Or Both?!

You would be using the web at that point because you are on a website.
